About the Keychron Gateron Switch Opener (Black)
The Gateron Switch Opener, sold by Keychron, is a small lever tool for anyone who lubes, films or changes springs in mechanical keyboard switches. Place an MX-style switch in it and press down, and the lever releases the top housing in a moment instead of prying each clip open by hand. It works with MX switches and MX clones, but Keychron notes it cannot open Kailh Box switches or any low-profile switches. This KZQ-H part is the black version, a handy addition to a keyboard modding kit alongside a switch puller and lubricant.
